Now it's time for character creation! I have a form at the end of this post you can use to flesh out your characters in one of the comments on this post. Then we should take the time to make sure that each player is asked five questions about their character. And here's a post with dreamwidth HTML basics!

You have a lot of thoughts and very few ways to voice them, so you find other ways to vent them--usually SLAM POETRY or listening to EMO BANDS. A long time ago you wanted to be in one yourself, but despite your PERFECT PITCH, LYRICAL LEANINGS, and STRONG SENSE OF RHYTHM, you were a shit singer and an even shittier composer. Well I imagine that En Yin's land is like a never ending stream of tea party necessities, which includes even non edibles like plates, teapots. So, clothes.

There is probably a sort of Wonderland Theme going on so suits and billowy dresses and tiny hats and bonnets and the like

Mountainous and heavily forested, specifically with Korean Pine, with an extensive river system and a large sea. There are little greenhouses everywhere, three-sided pyramids filled with plants, growing in size the farther away from her house they get. In some places, you'd think there should be a mountain but it's a pyramid instead. The largest one sticks out of the southern ocean. Its tip is hidden in the clouds.

Typing Quirk: Generally perfect spelling and punctuation. slips into lowercase and terse language when really! freaking! worked! up!

Guardian/Ancestor: Christopher Thaxton, military history buff and amateur reenactor. Liable to spend days rearranging the house in some sort of cryptic strategy game he plays with his son, whose enthusiastic use of ranged weapons in said games has nearly put out many a Thaxton eye.
House and Environment: A well-kept country house and estate in the Southern United States, chock full of armor sets, maps, and curiosities. Horses and peacocks roam the expansive lawns and surrounding property.
Aesthetic: Sporty; trackpants and hoodies to be expected.
Fetch Modus: Dartboard. Cards will not release items unless struck in the inner bullseye. This goes about as well as you might expect.
Strifekind: spearkind. Also has bowkind and dartkind lying around but is generally unlikely to use them, as they are past strifing phases.

Land: The Land of Steam and Marble; once filled with living statuary from which flows of cool water issued, LOSAM has heated up from its core and turned the once tranquil streams into scalding geysers which crack the surface of the planet, sending blocks of marble flying into the air.
Denizen: Metis
Quest: In addition to the Marble underlings flooding from the cracks in the surface, it seems that once there was a way to heal the planet's face—to make stone grow like flesh. It's Charlie's task to restore movement to the still stones.
Consorts: Flying iguanas.

It's pretty minimal. He might live in the middle of nowhere, but his father's an academic at heart and taught him to speak outside of dialect. So the twang only comes out sometimes, usually when he's copying someone else's Southernism.

i was talking to a southern lady who explained to me that the twang was more lowerclass and that upperclass southern people used a dialect that was more british-inspired. is it like that at all? or is it just straight up General American dialect as midwest as cornfields

Charlie and his dad are definitely upper-class, much richer than their surrounding areas. The language and accent they use reflects that in a big way. It's not very midwestern, though; they do occasionally sprinkle southernisms and AAVE into their language. It just doesn't come naturally, and the twang even less so.
